If you thrive in a hands-on project environment, enjoy seeing ideas become reality, and want to be part of a proudly Australian business with genuine global reach — this is the role for you.
About us
Stanbroke is a family-owned and operated Australian cattle and beef business with a proud history of quality and integrity. Our operations span across Northern Queensland, with extensive cattle properties, backgrounding operations in Southern Queensland, a state-of-the-art feedlot, a fully accredited beef processing facility, and global marketing capabilities. We offer a full range of grain and grass-fed beef categories and export to over 35 countries worldwide.
About the role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our team at our Grantham processing facility. Reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating and delivering strategic and capital projects across the site — from initial concept through to final commissioning. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced supervisor or tradesperson looking to transition into a dedicated project coordination role within a dynamic food manufacturing environment.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager in the end-to-end coordination and delivery of strategic and capital projects across the site, from concept through to final commissioning.
- Plan, organise, and manage resources, timelines, and procedures to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Develop capital works applications and project business cases for senior management approval, including detailed scope documents, cost-benefit analyses, milestones, and KPIs.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration between operational departments to ensure all project deliverables are fit for purpose and aligned with business objectives.
- Liaise with managers and contractors to coordinate labour and trade requirements, ensuring seamless project delivery and completion.
- Develop and maintain detailed work plans, schedules, resource plans, and status reports, while conducting ongoing risk analysis and tracking progress against milestones and budgets.
- Manage contractor performance and compliance, ensuring all site safety procedures are adhered to and installation schedules are met.
- Identify and champion innovative ideas for continuous environmental improvement and energy efficiency, including scoping associated costs and requirements.
- Provide hands-on support when required, assisting with or overseeing the installation and commissioning of equipment on site.
What we’re looking for
- Demonstrated experience in project management or continuous improvement within a food manufacturing or comparable industrial environment.
- Proven ability to lead, influence, and engage people at all levels, with a track record of building positive and productive working relationships.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and project updates clearly and confidently to stakeholders.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and consistently meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Competent in drafting basic AutoCAD drawings for concept designs and site layout planning.
- This role will suit an experienced site supervisor, qualified tradesperson, or hands-on project coordinator ready to take the next step in their project management career.
Why Join us?
- Full-time role based at our Grantham Processing Plant.
- Be part of a vertically integrated, family-owned Australian beef business committed to quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- A genuinely hands-on role with variety, ownership, and real impact across the business.
- Supportive, team-focused culture with opportunities for professional growth and career progression.
- Competitive salary and exclusive staff discounts on premium Stanbroke beef — because we think our people deserve the best cut.
From concept to commissioning — if you are ready to bring ideas to life and make a real impact at one of Australia's leading beef processing operations, we want to hear from you.
